HTC, Motorola, and LG vs Iphone 5?

While the Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S III dominate across the carriers, there are competitive models specific to carriers from HTC, Motorola, and LG to consider.

HTC

HTC is really focused on design and as I wrote a few weeks ago they really are Quietly Brilliant and that is something I appreciate about their devices and their humble attempts to bring solid products that satisfy carrier needs. The HTC One X is one of the best smartphones available today and if it was available on three or more carriers then I would have included it in my previous post. You can only pick it up at AT&T here in the US, which is a real shame. It clearly has the best display available on phones with screens larger than 4 inches and is one of the most elegantly designed devices you can purchase.

Motorola

While Google now owns Motorola, you can still find them making Android smartphones for a few carriers. Verizon is obviously the premier Motorola carrier with the Droid brand really kickstarting Android for the majority of people. You can find various Motorola Droid devices on Verizon, including the RAZR M and RAZR Max. Motorola Android smartphones are also available on AT&T (Atrix HD) and Sprint (Photon Q 4G LTE), but Verizon is the premier Motorola partner.

LG

It has been a while since I used a LG device, but they make some interesting products available on several carriers. Verizon has the Lucid and Intuition, AT&T has the Escape and Nitro HD, and Sprint has the LG Viper 4G LTE.
